THIS IS THE SWIRL VINYL VERSION: Philadelphia’s Groovy Movies (aka one Nick Carlisi) finally make their vinyl debut on Hidden Volume Records this August. This LP features nine cuts of sweet sunshine soungs that echo the brighter side of 60s psych pop. From the Goffin-King-Boyce-Hart melange, “Don’t Take Her Love From Me” to the Lovin’ Spoonful-esque, “Beautiful Day” to the blissed-out jangle of “My Heart Won’t Let Me” this record is the perfect summer soundtrack.
This is the CYAN and Easter Everywhere YELLOW VINYL SWIRL version and comes with a mind-warping jacket by X10 plus digital download card.

I fell into the music of Groovy Movies when I saw an option to purchase the “Chasing the Sun” split 45 and fell in love with Nick’s synthesis of Beatles/Monkees/Loving Spoonful sounds all rooted in the best of the psychedelic 60’s. Hooks galore just draw you in and those harmonies will give you goosebumps. I have purchased the two Lp’s and the 45 and listen to them whenever I need to get a fix on great rock/pop. One of my favorites these past 5 years Joseph Sciortino
